Some interesting relatives…
My family has kept a lot of history and I am the steward of that history. My great great grandparents kept their civil war letters and their letters are in demand by researchers. My cousin, Carl, was a founder of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and his mimeographed newsletters have been in my filing cabinet. Jane Freeman was a portrait painter of note and her feminist history is important. Hence this site, a repository for documents about, and by, this extended family. If it is helpful to genealogists that’s good too, but these bits of often radical history should not be lost. So, here is my small contribution to history.
